If you’ve been to the clubhouse lately, you might have noticed a big remodeling project is under way! The lower-level meeting room and youth offices are being completely redone. New additions include flooring, updated lighting, and an expanded multi-purpose room for meetings, social events, etc. Work is expected to be completed later this spring.
Denver Kickers Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Ross Fowler to the position of Director of Coaching, Intermediates. The DOCI position will serve to bridge the gap between Developmental and Competitive soccer within the Club, preparing U9-U10 players for an advanced level of play.
Originally from Manchester, England, Ross’s coaching career in the US dates back to 1992 with the American Eagles Soccer Club in Colleyville, Texas, the North Texas Olympic Development Program as a staff coach and also an Assistant Coach with the University of Dallas.
In 1999 Ross and his wife, Ann, moved back to England where he coached with both Burnage Metro FC and Stockport County Ladies FC until moving to Colorado in 2008. Since then, he has coached at the club and high school levels, including leading Evergreen HS boys’ soccer to a state title in 2015/16. He has been with Denver Kickers since 2018.
Ross and Ann live in Evergreen with sons Connor and Cal and their three dogs. When not on the pitch, he is either obsessing over his beloved Manchester City or trying to get better at his second sport – boxing.
The youth soccer program has grown to more than 500 participants! Our goal is to have two teams in each age group for both boys and girls, allowing for expanded opportunities to get kids involved in soccer without compromising the quality and high standards of the Club on both the developmental and competitive levels.
