bestchampionshiptrophyThe Kickers U14 Girls Black squad had a very busy and successful winter, as they played several tournaments getting ready for the 2017 spring season.

First, at the end of December, they participated in the Westminster Indoor Invitational, picking up their first ever tourney win. They won all four of their games, shutting out Skyline 5-0 in the final.

Then at the end of February, they competed in the Denver Winter Invitational, where they won all their matches in pool play against higher ranked teams, before losing a heartbreaker in the final, by way of a penalty shootout. This was the third time these girls had lost a championship game in that manner.

Finally, the first weekend in March, the girls finally broke through in an outdoor event, winning all three matches to capture the Storm Spring Cup. They outscored their opponents 10-1 in the three contests, and dominated their division in windy conditions.

These girls have come very far in the three years they have been together, and really deserved to at last bring home some champions hardware for the Kickers club. Congratulations to our U14 girls on a 10-0-1 winter, and best of luck for the 2017 spring season!
